It applies to foreign nationals wishing to work, study or live in the UK, whatever their nationality.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the UK points system?<\/h2>\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/uk-points-based-immigration-system-employer-information\/the-uks-points-based-immigration-system-an-introduction-for-employers\">PBS Points System<\/a> is an assessment system which allocates a number of points to each <a href=\"https:\/\/uk-gb.net\/en\/different-types-of-british-visas\/\">UK visa<\/a> applicant according to well-defined criteria. To obtain a visa, applicants must reach a <strong>minimum points threshold<\/strong>, generally set at <strong>70 points<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>This system is designed to attract qualified, independent profiles in line with the country&#8217;s economic needs, particularly in sectors in high demand (healthcare, technology, engineering, etc.).<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who benefits from PBS?<\/h2>\n\n<p>The points system applies to several types of visa, including :<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Skilled Work<\/strong> er PBS system?<\/h2>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify the <a href=\"https:\/\/uk-gb.net\/en\/different-types-of-british-visas\/\">type of UK visa<\/a> best suited to your profile<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check eligibility criteria and calculate your points<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obtain a sponsor or sponsorship letter (employer, university, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gather the necessary supporting documents (employment contract, English certificate, financial evidence&#8230;)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in the online form on <a
