List of countries authorized to request an ETA for the United Kingdom<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n

European nationals must therefore travel with a British ETA from April 2, 2025. They must apply for a British ETA online<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n

ETA exemptions<\/h2>\n\n

The following people do not need to apply for an ETA:<\/p>\n\n

  • British or Irish citizens<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Holder of a valid British visa<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Permanent or temporary residents in the UK (\u201csettled\u201d or \u201cpre-settled\u201d status)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Legal residents of Ireland traveling from Ireland or the Channel Islands<\/li>\n\n\n\n
