The PBS points system for UK visas
Since leaving the European Union, the UK has introduced a points-based immigration system, also known as PBS (Points-Based System). The PBS strengthens the UK visa application process. It applies to foreign nationals wishing to work, study or live in the UK, whatever their nationality.
What is the UK points system?
The PBS Points System is an assessment system which allocates a number of points to each UK visa applicant according to well-defined criteria. To obtain a visa, applicants must reach a minimum points threshold, generally set at 70 points.
