ETA application United Kingdom
The UK has launched a mobile application dedicated to managing eTA applications for the UK. This digital application offers a convenient and efficient solution for travelers from countries eligible for a UK eTA.
What is the UK ETA application?
The application has been set up by the British government to make it easier to apply for an ETA to enter the UK. It is aimed at travelers eligible for the visa waiver and wishing to make a short-term stay in the UK. Easy to use and 100% mobile, the application went live in 2024.
How does the UK ETA application work?
The application can be downloaded free of charge from the Android and iOS stores. It allows you to submit a travel authorization request in just a few minutes. The traveler must:
- Enter your personal data and passport details
- Answer a short safety questionnaire
- Secure payment of ETA fees
Once the application has been validated, the ETA is generally issued within three working days and electronically attached to the traveler’s passport. No paper documents are required.
What are the advantages of UK ETA?
The UK ETA application offers a fast, intuitive and entirely paperless process. It avoids the time-consuming procedures involved in obtaining an English visa for tourist stays.
Travelers can track the status of their application in real time, receive notifications, and keep a digital record of their travel authorization. It significantly reduces waiting times and simplifies entry formalities in the UK.
Is there online customer support?
The application offers online support to help users at every stage of the process. An integrated FAQ answers the most frequently asked questions, and a chatbot is available to provide instant answers in real time.
These features make the eTA application an essential tool for travelers, simplifying the application process and offering a secure and efficient user experience. This is much simpler than applying for a UK visa.
